HAHAH. something new for a sua gu city girl like me :) heeee, bev was complaining singapore and malaysia's way too boring. LOL. but i think i still prefer being boring without volcano spluttering shit whenever its happy. HA. Anw, haven't been updating my blog, my bad... Has been pretty busy and stressed :( Yeh long stories, many situations :( will share once i have the time. I reckon i need to write more too. My writing skills have been going or rather rolling down hill and thanks to Brett who's been a rather 'encouraging' teacher huh, i felt like i sucked so much at academic english now. Another word of 'report' makes me wanna throw up and die. HAHAHHA. xD

ohyay the long awaited harry potter sequel finally came up. (: was kinda excited about how the actors have progressed. all these came out in our convo and it spurred dixon to book the super-duper-hard-to-get-your-hands-on tickets online one week before and i took the choochoo train down to goldcoast on friday to watch it with him. I must say the cinema was impressive and ambience was two thumbs up indeed! (: The seats were covered in cool black leather and they were especially generous with the leg space (hooho, not that my leg is damn long, but this gives me the opportunity to stretch, kick and do whatever i want during the long 2 hours show) :D Yehhh dixon says its because he booked the VMAX theathre instead of the ordinary one. good choice :) yup sound system was good and volume was adequate, unlike those i encountered in TimesSquare KL, i reckon those are for hearing impared; ahhaha left me almost half deaf after the entire movie! Hmmmm, regarding the movie itself, i shan't be a spoiler down here. All i could say was, i was kinda a little disappointed :/ expected more actions and stuffs. oh well but it was a visible improvement from the last crappy one. hahaha xD we spotted a group of avid harrypotter fans who dressed up like wizards as well. & the fake harry was ridiculously identical looking to the real one. ahhaa. yeeh really interesting huh. And i see them waving their fake wands around and rambling some spells incessantly. yehh, overall it was still a great experience and this sweet memory of going all the way down to robina to catch dear harry (the real one i mean) on screen with dixon will definately be well kept in my precious brain space :) heee, and all this definately reminds me of those nice times when aaron and i caught movies at LOT1 years back... :DD probably only be able to do so again this decemeber... awwww...
Yeh that was what happened at goldocast.
When i reached brissy the next day, i got a message from indy asking if i wanna make a trip with him to the state library, council library and followed by a visit to the casino. Heee not to gamble ehh but to have our lunch there. Cuz! according to dear delores, she claimed that the casino has nice cafe and nice food. Hmmmm, we were supposed to meet at 10.30 @ brisbane square but i missed my damn bus and the next damn one only comes at 1 damn hour later. HAHA. damn... Lols! yeh so i was one hour late! :/ fortunately our meeting place was the library and there were books to keep him busy. hahaha if i'd surely be shot dead by him. lolss... yup love the library. i think i will just camp there as much as i can in future (: they actually have so many jap comics and the best thing is that all are written in ENGLISHHHHH. hahahh! xD whooos. Aye as for the casino trip, we made several rounds in the place but i could neither make head nor tail how the games were played. :x i just kept seeing chips being absorbed by the banker :x maybe i shld read up about it when i have time. yeh i got bored so we left the place after a while and back to library. still prefer spending my time there (: peaceful and calm. okay i guess imma bookie wormie and an offical nerd eh! Lols.
Alright, i am off to DFO to catch some sales :P shall update more again soon.

Apologies for not updating reguarly since i left sg :/ Been pretty busy adjusting to the life in aussieland; learning new stuffs; enjoying the change of weather and so on...

The internet's seriously a bugger here. :( HAHA. The speed at which it crawls make me scream and go bonkus. LOLS. xD Yea... another thing that i have to get used to it here huh. Yea and goodbye youtube & my fav souju. I could pratically go insane waiting for that movie to stream not forgetting the dodgy quality. :( oh well, mom please send over my korean dramas... HAHHA!

Anws, thanks for all the blessings showered by my dearest family and friends. I have been doing really well down here. And i really thank god for giving me this chance, this exposure and this good opportunity. :P I have been good in His hands and definately will continued to be blessed under His tender loving care. :D

Alrighty, just some updates of snips and bits of my journey if any of you guys are interested. HA! I was actually arranged to live with an australian family at fig tree pocket by the school. It was a pretty nervous experience for me since i have never done such a thing before. & my seniors were advicing me to rent a place myself as some hosts can be really mean and disgusting. Praise the lord, everything eventually turned out good and much better than i ever expected. The family was really nice, loving and hospitable. I didnt feel out of place, left out, wierd or pressured like my other friends, who unfortunately live with damn bad hosts. Kim and Lou (my host) are exceptionally friendly and I was able to get over homesickness really quick. They made a point to make me feel included and showered family love over me :) The girls, together with Kim, Lou and I will sit together and have dinner. We will chat about anything under the sun, from sailing, surfing, to camping, travelling and education, universities and jobs. Lou and Kim travelled to countless countries hence there were so many stories to hear every dinner! :) No doubt the western food they cook were jack's place standard :P Hahaha. I guess never in my life have i eating so much steak and chicken chop! Lou's superb at making desserts as well. I feel so blessed to be able to taste such a huge variety of famous desserts which the aussies enjoy and that i have never heard and tried before. It was such a great learning experience! :))) & I am definately enjoying it to my fullest!

Today's another family renuion where Kim and Lou's grown up children will come home and have dinner together, and update eachother about how they are doing. Chris (Lou's eldest son) and his wife Denae are really nice and respectable people. They are friendly and good at cracking jokes especially Denae, who is working as a lawyer. She's damn good at speaking and we all used to joke that she talks under water! HAA. Mike (Lou's second son) who just returned from his work in London was also around with his girlfriend, Jessica, who is a dentist. They are equally friendly and warm (of course really good looking too! LOLS! :D ). It was really comfortable being around them and listening to them share about their life and experiences. Having hear from all of them doing different careers ranging from medical fields, accountancy, business, IT to law, definately gave me a vast knowledge and good exposure of what the real world was like. :) While having desserts, Chris played the video of his wedding. It was so blissful, sweet and loving. Though it wasn't a grand one at some posh hotel, but the smiles on everyone faces and how they enjoyed themselves so much jus gave me a warm, fuzzy and happy feeling. Denae and Chris are really lucky to have eachother and seeing them complimenting eachother makes me melt. Awwwww, really nice couple and i really look up to them. :PPP Lastly, Lauren (Lou's youngest daughter) was also present. She's blonde, tall and really smart! She's someone that i really look up to as well. Its really amazing how she can do so well in her school work, her career yet represent the state and school in so many sports events! :D She balances her social life pretty well and flies around the world doing really meaningful trips too. Lou used to share with us how dilligent and disciplined Lauren was and I am absolutely awed by how great this person is, yet she in always so unassuming and easygoing. :D Not to forget, there are the three lovely dogs, fudge, zali and kimba! :) They are really happy dogs and they never fail to bring smiles on our faces. Its really amazing to see how the aussies loved their dogs like their family and treated them like their baby. :D In turn, the dogs are so lovely and always there for the owner. :) The entire family's pretty into sports. Kim plays tennis regularly while Lou plays touch and netball. The family occasionally scale mountains and stay in forest cabins for days, enjoying the closeness of nature, also, go sailing in their race boats all the way from sunshine coast to moreton bays to watch whales, dolphins and dugongs. I am looking forward to the days where they bring us along :) The culture difference i encounter was pretty drastic however, happy and blessed to say i am adapting and enjoying it well so far.

Having the chance to reside in fig tree pocket is also god's blessings. It is such a nice and big house with a huge pool, garden, ponds and all. The environment was good and serene as it oversees a park (nice greenery) and brisbane river. During the weekend, i get to enjoy gazing at fancy speedboats jetting thru the waters and people doing jet-skiing. Times when i am feeling not lazy, i will bring the dogs to the park for a run and meet many friendly neighbours. Across the river is DFO shopping complex and a 10 mins bus ride takes me to another megaplex called indooroopilly. Another 10 mins or so brings me to one called the toowong mall and then further down will be the city with greater arrays of shops. If I am suddenly feeling nostalgic abt chinese food, i can easily make my way to sunnybank where almost the entire suburb's sells chinese stuffs real cheap! :) Hence, FTP sounds pretty accessible to malls and places yet not far away from touch of nature. In the nights I get to experience possum scurrying across the roof and even get to see friendly carpet snakes sheding its skin. Not far from home, i can also visit the koala and kangeroo sactuary. :P Yesh I definately love it here and wants to be part of everything :)

Okay, regarding school and life in school. Hmmm, all i can say is that, though i am feeling the pressure with so many smarty asses around doing so well, i never will look back now and say i wana change my mind and do my undergrad in sg. And i've never regretted making this huge decision of leaving home and coming all the way here to study. :) I hope this will be it till the end :) So far, I made really wonderful friends and did amazing things like picnic-ing at southbank etc and of course i have learnt so many precious lessons which i may not even have the chance to do so in sg. My lecturers in school are really different from the ones in sg and i actually enjoyed their style of being really open and frank about everything. Interestingly, there are no barriers and walls between them and the students, which makes learning even more easy and productive. :) They are really bunch of good pple who really cares for you and your future and never never cast the word "o failure" upon you. Patient. Extremely patient i can say and i am really touched by how much efforts they put in for us. Also, we actually call them by their names like "Hi there Dave!" instead of Mr so and so. HAHA. Takes some time off me to get used to that. They kinda get pissed if u ever did address them as Mr so and so. HAAH. XD wierd yea but oh well. :P Heee. Hmmm, so far i have been pricking my eyes up and training my ears to get used to the aussie accent. Pretty hard when they speak so fast :( aahahaha and i doubt any time now i will be able to take up that accent. HAHAA.

okayyyy has been a pretty long entry and i hope u guys are satsified with whatever i have fed you. I've got to go back to my work :P update yall soon again! :P

I love all of you so much. Lots of misses! :P

10:01 AM

Its been ages since i posted an entry. i have just gone through a rather hectic, tiring yet extremely memorable transition in my life, which i reckon i will never ever forget, and though i have had alot in mind to share, i just couldn't find the right time and energy to sit down patiently to do a good job, just till then :)

Anyways, its the weekend! and it'll be a month in aussieland for me. Time sure flies! I pulled through thicks and thins, and proud to say still make it alive. :P hahaha. With everything new, ranging frm my house, my bed, my school, my friends, my diet, my travelling habits, the cold weather, the rainy storms, and last of all the homesickness, charging straight at me, all at once giving me no room to shout: STOPPPP! or SLOW DOWNNNN! or even turn back! It was abit hard to adapt to the new place since i am really lousy to the core with new environment and stuffs. Yup, tiring i can say. Everyday just wears me off and my eyelids could barely stay open when the clock merely hits eleven! But yet again, i am proud that i learnt so much so much that people of my age may not even have the opportunity to do so. :DD Therefore, i am once again thankful to my dear Lord and parents who have given so much for me.

Alright, just a few updates: Last saturday, my cousins from SG came over to visit. :P Early in the morning, feeling jittery and excited, I rushed to the roma train station and headed all the way to helensvale, goldocast. It was my first time taking the long ride alone! The thought of seeing my cousins, aunties and uncles just kept me over the moon :) ( just too bad my parents couldn't make it this round D: ) We headed to seaworld beach and did some BBQ, then, we, cousins moved on to surfers paradise to shooppp till we drop, while the adults stayed behind to pack! HAHA. The next day, we headed to the new extension, Robina and shopped again! Heeee. It was really nice and heartwarming to have my cousins' company while i shopped, eat and play. After that a long day, Dixon drove me back to my house at Brisbane :P

This week, I took a train again, but this time round from central station instead, and headed to helensvale to spend some time with them again. :) We had a lonnngggg, great and memorable cousins-get together talk as dixon, don and I debated on almost any topics under the sun! Hahaha. We could talk abt leekuanyew, to army life, then to working in hospital, followed on to cloning, then even to relationships and fate. How random can we get huh! LOLS. But i was a meaningful talk i guess. I somehow get to understand both my cousins better; their likes and dislikes, their perspective of things etc... :D

Aye time flies. Soon, we headed off to the airport to send time off. Kinda wierd as most of the time i am bidding goodbye to dixon and heading back to singapore. But this time round, it was me standing beside dixon, bidding the rest goodbye as they made their way back to singapore. Sighhhh, though i put up a rather strong front, but i felt a tinge of lost and helplessness when they left for the boarding gate. I guess i'll bawl my eyes if my parents were there! LOLS. XD

Alrighty, tomorrow is queen's birthday! :D & we the EXPRESS are having BBQ party at south bank;) wohooohsss!

okay, off to walking-jogging-running with the dooggies :))) update soonnnnn

11:31 AM

I was trying out those funky quizzes that my friends and teachers (can you believe even my teachers got the fettish in creating quizzes about themselves! HAHA.) had made. Sighhing and swooning over the 'roller-coaster' results i get for each and everyone which i tried. All these reminded me of those friendship quizzes that my dearest friends emailed me back when i was in primary school. Thank god i haven't gotten a 0% so far. But the worse i have scored was 1 out of 8 questions. Not any better. LOLS. Yes, embarassing and really sorry to that particular friend. Hahh! The trend no doubt, spurred me to think that, maybe it would be rather interesting and fun for me to make one as well! My brain started whirring and thinking hard of what type of questions shld i pose. The common ones like "what is my favourite colour?" , "Which brand of sweets do I love the most?" or the classic "What type of dramas do i love?", which i reckon nobody will get it wrong! Hahahha. Or maybe the more 'intimate' ones like "When did i remove/put on my braces?", "what is my handphone brand and model", which only people real close to me, or rather those who hang out with me often will know. Then i thought again, why in the hell shld i shout out to the world my likes and dislikes. My habits and my life. Haha. Sounds really 'out of place' for me to do so, after all i uphold strictly to my personal style: keeping a low profile, only to stand out when necessary,so as to a avoid any redundant attentions. LOLS. XD Eventually, I decided "quzzies about myself" just aint my cup of tea. So guys, unless the pigs fly, you probably wont see any of mine around. BUT, i do not deny i'm in love with doing all these quizzes. HAHA. so feel free to create more and i'll be more than honoured to try them out. :)))

12:00 AM

I've been really well fed lately, I must say. First it was a sumptuous dinner buffet at crystal jade, celebrating my parents' wedding anniversary. Followed on was home catering buffet in-lieu of celebrating my aunt's new living place. Then it was Newyork newyork with my lovely girls at jurong point. Not to forget another similar visit to Newyork newyork with my dear cousin, Don the very next day. Yes, my belly is getting rounder. :( Bad sign. I ought to start exercising- something i kept emphasizing yet no actions made YET. HAHA. But thats not the point. My REAL point of this entry is to thank my family and friends for all those great gatherings and time spent together. I couldn't feel any less blessed and touched. oh yes, i definately love chatting, joking and sharing over meals. :D All these dear memories spent with u guys will be will locked in my heart and i pray for more to come :)) For now, I wanna thank you all again; my family, my friends, my colleagues...

p.s i'm feeling so blessed today. thanks lord.
